K.C. MO, First Friday at Plus Modern Design

Hey Friends,

Please join us at Plus Modern Design tomorrow night 10.02.15 for their Reopening First Friday Event. Knowing Keith's amazing design work, I cannot wait to see the new space. By the way, I will have several works at the remodeled showcase including my newest work, "For Our Sons and Daughters." Hope you can join us.

Cheers,
Artist Teresa Dirks

P.S. Amy and I will be there 5-7. Dave has a birthday dinner that I have to cook after that. Woohoo. Celebrating many things this First Friday!
Thanks again,

Artist Teresa Dirks is on worldcat.org . . .

The Nelson Atkins Spencer Art Reference Library began an artists' file initiative in 2014 and through the Kansas City Artists' Coalition, I was preselected to join the official launch. According to the Nelson Atkins Spencer Library Website, "The artists’ file initiative documents the careers of artists who are part of Kansas City’s creative community. These files are as unique as the artists’ careers they document and may include artist statements, gallery announcements, resumes and exhibition checklists."

The Kansas City Artist Coalition stated:

The Artists Initiative File is working to archive local contemporary artists in Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri. By creating individual files for each artist, the Library is helping to document the arts community and serve as an active archive for artists who are currently working and have worked in the area. Each artist’s profile will contain an artist statement, resume, list of exhibitions, exhibition cards and more. Not only does the Spencer ArtReference Library catalog your file, but they also submit the information to the WorldCa.org database, which is the world’s largest online catalog and available to anyone with access to the Web!

Teresa Dirks Artist File can now be found on worldcat.org. Here is a link to my worldcat.org page with info on my career. For those of you who have acquired my art in the past or if you are looking to acquire Teresa Dirks' art, (thank you!) You can now research and validate, just like in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" that I am a "bonafide" artist.

On a side note, I would love to thank the Nelson Atkins Spencer Library's Marilyn Carbonell and Amelia Nelson and the wonderful staff at the Kansas City Artist Coalition. Thank you, thank you!
